Currently, Methodist Creative Preschool has openings for the upcoming 2019-2020 school year in our 3-year old preschool classes and our 4-year old pre-kindergarten classes. If you, or anyone you know are looking for a preschool/pre-kindergarten program, please feel free to contact Shelley at 937.642.2103 or email@example.com for more information. Please pray that God will continue to send the children He wants us to minister to next year.
We want to honor your graduating high school student on May 19th during our services at 10:00 am. Please RSVP to Mark Confer (firstname.lastname@example.org) and we need three photos (birth, elementary, and senior year) of your student. Please bring to the church office to be scanned or email images to email@example.com before May 5th!
Our church will be presenting a children’s musical called “Because He Lives!” on Saturday, April 13, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the church sanctuary. We are seeking kids from 1st through 6th grade to participate in Because He Lives! Please have family members (grandparents especially) and your friends mark their calendars for this date at Marysville First U.M. Church.
There will be narrations that the children will read, some hand motions, and singing! The narrations could be either read on a notecard or memorized by the children. It is a wonderful musical, and it will not be too difficult to learn. I am sure that the audience will love it!
We will have three practices---please mark your calendar and try to have you child attend all THREE!
Also, be sure they have had dinner or a snack prior to arriving.
Practice #1 will be Monday, April 1st from 6 pm to 7:15 pm in Room 220 by Sunday School classrooms.
Practice #2 will be Sunday, April 7th from 6 pm to 7:15 pm in the sanctuary.
Practice #3 will be Wednesday, April 10th from 6 pm to 7:15 pm in the sanctuary. (We realize some of the Outbreak 5th and 6th graders won’t be able to stay the whole time but that’s okay.)
Performance will be on Saturday, April 13th from 4-5 pm (kids will need to arrive in the sanctuary at 2:45 pm for one last sound check)
Please email me (Beth Sanders) at firstname.lastname@example.org or text me at 614-580-0333 if your 1st – 6th grader would like to participate. Please tell me if they would like a narration part too or if they would just prefer to sing with the kids’ choir.
We are excited to share the story of Jesus’ sacrifice for us and his resurrection with the church and community!
Please let your family members know – mark those calendars early! You are welcome to use the graphic in this email and post it on your Facebook page to spread the news to the entire community!
Thank you! -- Beth Sanders and Lisa Hughes
The entire month of May MFUMC is joining 15 Churches in our community in the book study of “The Art of Neighboring”. The community wide focus will be “Love UC”! During this time all the churches involved will preach from the same outline and encourage their congregation to participate in service to others, block parties and intentionally engaging their neighbors in the love of Christ! The Equip Team encourages life groups, small groups and various learning communities to commit to studying “The Art of Neighboring”. Books will be available at the back of the worship areas for $7 on the 14th and 28th. Or you may pick up a copy at the church office.
The annual Church Camping Weekend will be June 14-16 at Delaware State Park. At present we have 10 families signed up and would love to have more.
We are on sites 80-89 and 69. Close sites still available are on the 100 loop and possibly on the 70 loop. The campground does start to fill up so don't hesitate to make reservations. There are non compulsory activities through the day on Saturday. We join together Saturday evening for dinner and have waffles for breakfast on Sunday before our worship time. COME JOIN US!
