Upward Basketball and Cheerleading
Upward was a huge success in the first year with over 150 Kindergarten through Sixth grade children participating. A culminating effort of church members, staff and other people in the community made the “Upward” ministry experience a tremendous success.
As an outreach, this ministry reached out to many young children and their families. This year the Upward committee is focused on continuing the strengths of last year and improving on other aspects that can make the Upward season a Christ filled league.
Sign ups will begin in November with advertising and sign up brochures being distributed in October. Volunteers are needed for this ministry. If you feel led either by donating prayer time, refereeing, coaching, or finding it in your heart to donate a scholarship for a boy or girl whose family may not be able to afford the league, please contact Joe Altizer at 937-243-5775.
This Basketball and Cheerleading league is for all boys and girls from K-5 to Sixth grade; nobody is turned away. Whether the child is growing in Christ or has never prayed before, we take all kids wanting to learn fundamentals of Basketball or Cheering. On behalf of the Marysville Upward committee, I ask for your continued heartfelt prayers for this ministry.
