To Love God and All People for the Transformation of the World
First United Methodist Church of Marysville is a Christ-centered church serving our community for over one hundred years. We have a wonderful facility, including our sanctuary and Burnside Family Life Center. We look forward to continuing to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and see lives changed!
There is a nursery during all services for children up to 3 and Sunday school classes at 9:30 and 11:00 for all ages.
Please read through the bulletin insert for our current prayer list and announcements.
We Encourage All to Attend Sunday School and Worship

Our congregation’s vision incorporates both the Great Commandments and the Great Commission.
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew 22:37-39
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. Matthew 28:18-20
If we are intentional about loving God and loving people, we will make disciples and it will lead to the transformation of Marysville and the world. Our hope is that everything we do as a congregation can be traced back to this simple Vision. Love is the catalyst and platform for being disciples and making disciples. We pray that you might catch the vision with us that love can be a powerful, attractive and transforming force. After all, “God is love” (1 John 4:16).
Our Core Values and Ministry Strategies will provide the way this Vision might become a reality. A simple view might look like this:
Our Vision is rooted in these four Core Values.
We then take these Core Values and move forward to make our Vision a reality through the use of four distinct Strategies – Engage, Connect, Equip and Send. Two take place primarily inside the walls of the church, and two are outside the walls of the church.
These strategies will lead us to ministry activities that fall under the umbrella of one of these names (Engage ministries, Connect ministries, Equip ministries, Send ministries). Here is a brief overview of each strategy:
Engage: We don't wait for people to come to us. We engage with our neighbors, coworkers, friends, family, and strangers to let them know they are loved, valued, and worth our time
Connect: We don't walk alone as we experience Jesus. We connect people to help them grow, do life, and do ministry together. When someone sets foot in our church they will be warmly welcomed and received. The church is a place for friendship and belonging, not judgment. It is a place where people encounter our Savior and Lord exactly where they are.
Equip: We want all people to expand their knowledge of who God is and how he wants to use them in everyday life. Through Bible study, training, mentoring, classes, and experiences we will prepare people to be joyful lifelong disciples that reproduce other disciples.
Send: The world needs to hear the good news of Jesus and he has given us the joy and responsibility to go and make disciples. We are sent out to our own spheres of influence: homes, schools, offices, neighborhoods, and to the ends of the earth.
