What Is MOPS?
Mothers of Preschoolers (M.O.P.S.) is an International Organization that was established in February of 1973. The first MOPS meeting took place at Trinity Baptist Church in Wheat Ridge, Colorado where eight women gathered to share and talk about their experiences at being a mother. The needs for the women were clear - to be nurtured and to know that mothering mattered. Through friendship and creative outlets with a spiritual emphasis, the women realized they were starting something wonderful. The group grew, and MOPS began.
The program is designed to nurture mothers with children from infancy through kindergarten. MOPS is a relevant and caring network for moms. We offer both day and night programs.
