Worship Services
Worship , by literal definition
of the English word, means to ascribe, assign, attribute and declare
worth to something. So as worshippers we are ascribing, assigning,
attributing and declaring God's worth. He is the One who the prophets
predicted. He is the One born in a manger in Bethlehem. He is the One
who walked as a man, taught with passion, and performed miracles. He
is the One who willingly sacrificed His life on the Cross so we could
be pronounced forgiven. He is the One who rose from the dead at Easter
and lives among us today - the personal God who loves us. He is the
One who is the Alpha and Omega the beginning and the end. We express
His worth by our worship: our praise, our thanksgiving, our time, our
service, our gifts and sacrifice. Worship is for an audience of One -
Jesus Christ.

While the focal point of worship is Jesus, we benefit.
Through our worship, He comes and teaches, forgives, inspires and empowers
us. We are changed to change the world. We offer three settings and
two styles of worship on Sundays:
Spirited Traditional:
8:00 & 11:00 AM in the Sanctuary
We say 'spirited' because
Jesus Christ is the most exciting being ever. We often
sing the traditional hymns of the church, but with a song leader, and a
dynamic organ sound. Our choir brings a bold and spirited offering
to this service. Sometimes we pray the Lord’s Prayer and sing the
Doxology, but it is done with our hearts turned toward God who is the
foundation of our faith. There is also a relevant, thought provoking time
for our children. The message is always based on the timeless truths of
God, but presented in a relevant, authentic, practical way for today.
Enjoy the timeless beauty of our Sanctuary but be prepared to meet the
living Spirit of Jesus!
Contemporary:
9:30 AM in the
Church Burnside Family Life Center
Contemporary worship includes more modern music, using a
team of singers, along with drums, guitars, keyboards and other
instruments. We two large screens to project the words to the music, announcements, and message notes.
They
are projected on the screen to help us not only hear with our ears, but
see with our eyes. The setting is casual but the mood exciting and
anticipatory. The same timeless truths of the Scripture are presented in
an authentic, life changing way. We praise, we pray, we promote the love,
compassion, and excitement of the God of this contemporary age who is the
same yesterday, today and forever. If you are Young or older, if you've
been a Christian for a long time, or want to know Him for the first time,
come and see that the Lord is good!
