Our CORE Values                   at Marysville First we believe.....

Every person is important to God.
Therefore every person is important to the Church.  The church calls us to love those inside it's fellowship, but also reach out to share God's love with others.
                                      (Psalm 8, Luke 5:30-32, Luke 15, Matthew 18:14)

Worship is for an audience of One, Jesus Christ.
Every person needs an excellent, heart moving, weekly celebration of the Savior.
                                                                                  (Isaiah 6, Revelation 21)

Excellent Biblical teaching is the catalyst for life change.
The message of the Bible never changes, but methods of sharing it change with culture.  Effective an ongoing life change happens best in small, intimate groups of believers.                                          (Acts 2:44-47, 2 Corinthians 2:14-17)

The church should be the center of authentic friendships.
People don't want just a 'friendly church' but genuine, authentic, trusted, friends of the faith, with whom they can trust, laugh, cry and grow.
                                                                     (Matthew 9:9-13, John 1:40-45)

All of Christ's followers should pursue holy living,
Moving toward intimacy with Christ.  The church should offer life changing opportunities base on people's gifts, skills, and faith experiences.
                             (Ephesians 4:25-26, 32, Philippians 1:6, Hebrews 12:1-4)

The church should be led by Christ-followers with gifts embracing
The mission, vision, and core values of their church.
                                                   (Nehemiah 1-2, Acts 6:2-5, Romans 12:1-8)

Ministry is best accomplished in visionary teams.
                                                    (Nehemiah 3, Luke 10:1, I Corinthians 13)

Sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion, are signs of God's love.
All who desire an ongoing relationship of faith with God are invited to participate.
                                          (Mark 1, Luke 22:14-20, I Corinthians 10:16-17)
